When I was small we had a cat which would drink milk only if bournvita was added to it. And it loved coconuts. In fact it seemed to like coconuts more than fish. If you placed coconut and fish in front of it, I am sure it would have gone for the coconut first. By the way, we have a labrador which blatantly refuses to have food without 'bread'...
As unlikely as it may seem - the cat that adopted us gave birth in my mother's lap!
Cats and dogs can be as finicky as humans...lol.

this was really interesting to know. a cat which eats coconut! seems that that cat was a re-incarnation of some keralite :p
I am sure it must ve been a keralite in some previous birth. The moment it heard coconut being grated it wud come running and if u refused to give it coconut it wud get voilent and scratch u.

we too had a cat ..and his favourite was Rice mixed with cocunut oil :O .. we used to wonder why he loved cocunut oil and rice :)

Woah, i know this must be late, but i was feeding my cat coconut and i was like "hmm... there must not be any cat in the world..." but i googled it and your blog popped up xD
It's my cat's favorite food, i suppose :D
